Style Feature: Vic Spencer

1. Who and What has influenced your style over the years?

I'm influenced by being old. Style comes and goes. I like to do things on my own terms. I dont like when people say I look like wiz kahlifa because of what i'm wearing. clearly,I do different shit. If me and the homies not going around shopping, getting our own shit together, I'm self-influenced.

2.What are your Favorite denim brands ?

I like 575s. those are my favorite denim. I fucks with levis STILL, 3sixteen, Acapulco gold, and Nudies as well.

3. Whether it be sneakers, hats,jeans or tees we all have that one or two items we can't get enough of. What's yours?

Hats and sneakers. If i'm not getting one, I'm copping the other. I just spent 250 on minor league hats, I love them shits.

4. In the past you've been seen rocking jackets ,hoodies etc with a V on them. Clothing line from Vic Spencer in the works? Or is that some personal swag?

I got this line called Victormized Gear. it started off with just me rocking the shit. I know im not a fashion designer, but i wanted to wear my own shit and do it differently. So V is for Victory, meaning you winning in life, but Victormized comes from me and my uncle teaming up to make sweaters/jackets/cardigans/hoodies to fit only the person that's wearing it. I got a lil discouraged after seeing Jim Jones wearing V's on tight ass polo shirts. but hey.. the line is just for me right now, but I have sold some sweaters in the past though.

5. If you had to pick between a pair of JS Adidas and the Jordan Cement 4 , what would it be and why?

The cements because I never wear adidas. I just brought my 1st pair of adidas, the LDRS red Moccasins.. i fucks with those joints heavy. The leather! So buttery! But I got the 4s as well. Jordans is a all-purpose shoe. so easy to wear em. but how you wear em is the question, hahah !

6. When it comes to hip hop and streetwear Chicago's doing big things .What are some your favorite brands, boutiques and movements?

Chicago is KILLING right now ! I fucks with LDRS 1354 and St. Alfreds clothes all day, i fuck with Uprise for my SBs and I go to the city sports for my mikes. So im universal. I fuck with my crew, The Brainiacs. I fucks with Treated Crew, I'm a member and a huge fan of the Savemoney Crew and Kids These Days shit, youngings thats hungry musically, The Village and shit! And i fuck with any movement that's not about hate and doubt.

7. Say it were 2001 what would you be wearing.

I'd be wearing boot cut seven7 jeans 527 Levis with white tees and hightop AF1s.

8.About what age did you really start to care about fashion and creating your own style?

I was on that 'my style shit' since 1997. So I was 16.

9. Recently we posted the National Geographic video. What can our readers look forward to  from Vic Spencer the artist in the near future?

National Geographical Video was nice right? yer. but yea, you can peep the Closed Curtains Video I just put out.. Im just working on Videos for the Vic Greenthumbs mixtape that i put out back in september. i got about 5 more videos to do for that project then im going to release my album The Walk Away Music later this year. It's 75% done already so stay tuned.
